Work on a different set of muscles every day, taking no more than 0.08% of your bodyweight in protein powder four times per day before meals. (your body can't absorb much more than that per four hours, the rest will go to waste.)
If you have access to a gym, great! If you don't, improvise!
(i stuck a suction bar used in repairing windshields to a watermelon and did curls with it. I did crunches haging from a tree branch)
Personally, i'd recommend waiting until next year when you are adapted to the conditions. Unless it is in late august, i don't recommend going in the compettition this year. Build yourself up and train moderately for a year rather thean trying to pull it off in three months.
Good luck!

Sounds like you're not an MMA fighter, so you'll be put in a beginners group. Don't think you'll get to train with Couture just yet, kid! ;)
You shouldn't worry about your fitness level, unless you're completely out of shape.
Your gym will make you fit, that's one thing you won't have to worry about.
If you want to excel at MMA, then you're going to work really hard and practise it with great motivation during training. That is one thing the gym can't guarantee to accomplish without you putting in some work of your own.
Fitness however, if you're really out of shape, run and be active a lot. Do push-ups, crunches and pull-ups, like Frank said.
If you have normal fitness, then let your new MMA gym make you into a pro athlete and just think about the techniques.

You have to train at a real gym. Try to get into submission grappling/BJJ and kickboxing. http://www.myspace.com/usaladiesofpain

If I were you, I'd train with the guys. "Women's" whatever martial arts don't sit right with me. Find a gym where you feel comfortable with a teacher you respect and train, train, train! If it's a good group of guys who are there to learn, you will have few to zero problems other than the ordinary amount of competitiveness and rivalry that can occur at any training hall.
